Universal Pictures requested a gift with purchase to accompany the sale of the Despicable Me 2 DVD. The objective was to produce a gift that would fall within budget and be desirable to children.

The obvious choice was Dave, the most popular Minion character in the movie. After looking at various ideas, the decision was taken to produce the Dave bop-over, an inflatable Minion that, when filled with air, bounces back and forth.

We made sure the bop-overs were manufactured ethically in an SGS audited factory in China, adhering to test procedures required by law.

The Dave Minions were distributed to five different countries to coincide with the world-wide DVD release.
