P&O Cruises operate cruises over the Christmas period all over the world and like to present a special Christmas gift to their Passengers who are on board at this special time of year.

The ideal gift needed to be useful to its recipients and capture the essence and the experience of being on one of the P&O Cruises.

The client chose the idea of a board game and Arcadia were commissioned to provide a customised special edition of Monopoly.

Many elements of the game’s features were customised to make this special edition of one of the world’s favourite board games:

  • Board Locations were changed to cover some of the most exotic locations that you can visit on a P&O Cruises cruise.
  • The Railway Stations were changed to the P&O Cruises food hero’s venues, hosted by James Martin and Marco Pierre White, to name a couple.
  • Chance and Community Chest were changed to have a nautical theme and to be specific about P&O Cruises.


The Branded Monopoly game was very well received and is currently being trialled in the retail outlets on board.
