Sedex is a internationally recognised non profit membership organisation that is dedicated to driving improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains.
The Sedex core product is a secure, online database which allows members to store, share and report on information on four key areas:
Health & Safety
Arcadia holds a Sedex accreditation as an AB member, which enables us to view and run reports on our suppliers’ ethical data, manage information, and share information with our customers.
As an AB member of Sedex we can access our suppliers’ information, including self assessments, audit reports, corrective action plans and certifications.
Ethical Sourcing & Sedex Accreditation
At Arcadia, we are committed to providing ethically sourced products by improving responsible business practices in our global supply chain. Adopting the Sedex accreditation system required us to ensure that all our approved suppliers completed comprehensive self assessments in four different categories: business integrity, environmental, health and safety and labour standards. The factories are audited on an annual basis to confirm they meet the strict guidelines set by Sedex and to monitor continuous improvements in standards. Sedex then calculates an Ethical Risk Assessment, enabling us to ensure the high standards that our clients expect.
Ethical Sourcing Of Promotional Products
It takes a lot of work to build a brand that people recognise and trust – from providing high-quality products and services, through to carrying out marketing campaigns and taking steps to protect and enhance your reputation. With all the time and effort that goes into promoting your brand, it’s important to remember that little things can quickly destroy your hard work. That’s why it’s important to consider the supply chain of your products – both the items you produce and the marketing merchandise that you give away – since unethical sourcing could cause bad publicity or a loss of customers. Here at Arcadia, we understand the importance of ethical sourcing and are committed to ensuring that all our suppliers maintain high standards when it comes to issues such as labour standards and environmental awareness.
The Benefits Of Ethical Sourcing
Opting for ethically sourced products makes sense for many reasons. For one thing, it means you, your employees and your clients can feel confident in the quality and overall responsibility of the goods you distribute. Ethical sourcing can also benefit your bottom line, as many modern consumers choose to buy from companies that demonstrate social consciousness. By building a sustainable image, you could drive up sales and boost your brand’s reputation – while also helping to improve the environment and the lives of people around the world.
